DESIGN COMMENTS:
11m Powercat
This sedan style pleasure boat has been designed for an Australian client
and follows on from our other successful high speed catamaran designs such
as the 11m Aquavette and the 9m
Northwest. She is generally optimised for game fishing out wide off
the Australian East Coast but will also be used as a coastal family cruising
and fishing boat and from time to time undertake coastal passages of up
to 1000 nautical miles. She is intended to be berthed in a dry-dock when
not in use.
CLD organised a Kiwi build team, who had just completed the 23m
wave piercing trimaran in Mauritius, to work locally with the owner
The arrangement is divided into four basic areas:
1. The forward and portside sleeping compartments
2. The main saloon/helm station and galley
3. The head and shower compartment
4. The cockpit.
Standing headroom is available throughout the interior and the large
cockpit (9.6m²) provides ample space for fishing and socialising.
